Nutty Fluffer

Sunday, I listened to a message on television from a very well known pastor. As I listened to his always inspiring sermon, I noticed the verse he used to solidify the message was misquoted. Though it substantiated what he was saying, it wasn't at all the truth that the verse was supposed to be holding for those that read it. I wondered what would this do to those who believed what they heard and about to use in their everyday lives. Would they fare well and if the minister cared if anything happens to them based on what was preached and they spiritually consumed.

Look at it from a different perspective. A waiter takes the order of those who desires a meal. He/she then takes the order to the cook and waits for the preparation of the food. Once the food is ready, there are those that garnish the plate and then the waiter is told that the order is ready for him/her to take the food to the waiting patrons. If along the way that the server sneezes, cough, drops a plate and scoops the food back on it, or so forth, he/she has the responsibility to take the food back and tell the cook, it is no longer fit to serve or not. The responsibility is on the server and anyone that saw what the server did or not do. If the contaminated food is served anyway, the consumer will undoubtedly become ill.

Add this onto the perspective given: I noticed on a commercial some years ago about yogurt. There was a new style that was being offered with just as much flavor but half the calories. It was called to have a decadent smooth taste. Though it was marketing for the consumer to purchase the product, it is the responsibility of the consumer to find out what made this product better then the one they already had. The company took half of the container of yogurt, used a high powered mixer and whipped air into it. So you are getting half the product you use to get for the same amount of money (if not more). Yes, it is half the calories because you are getting half of the original product. Isn't that evil or just business?

The 23rd Psalm, a very popular passage that some of us had to learn and recite for our Easter Pageant, tells us that the table has been prepared by the Lord. This tells me the food that He has for us, has already been set. When Jesus told Peter to feed My sheep, he was being instructed to serve. Serve what? Serve from what He has already prepared in the 23rd Psalm (Verse 5). Remember this.

Now putting this all together, I have to take offense when a minister, pastor, apostle, evangelist, or teacher takes it upon themselves to make changes when speaking a message under the guise that it came from the Lord (  Hebrews 5:1-12 AMP). The position taken as mentioned previously, is a privilege to serve God's children. That doesn't mean anything that comes to mind. It is a message to be served as it is given. For we all are created at time such as this to be a set aside as a peculiar nation for God's treasure...His harvest. When a message is given from the Lord, isn't it the duty of the minister to study all of the aspects of that message, so when it is delivered (served) not only will the babies enjoy the milk of a nourishing meal, but the children and sons (mature Christians) are also fed from the Word as well (Hebrews 5:12-14 AMP)?

When ministers preach to others messages that they heard from television, a CD, a DVD or from another minister rather then directly from the relationship that he/she has with the Lord, isn't it diluted by the time it is delivered to the people...or lukewarm.... or contaminated with all sorts of fillers? And then the congregation hears it and starts speaking it as well because they trust that this minister has done the right thing...it then becomes a way of life for them. Would it not have been better if that minister studied, prayed on it, and then meditated to live that message as a minister before actually teaching it to God's people (Revelation 3:15-22 AMP)? Bishop T.D. Jakes asked a question in one of his many messages that would seem apropos here: How can you take me to a place where you have never been? I thought about that question and had a few of my own. If you as a minister never ate from that table or lived with that Word you preached to the congregation in your own life, how then can you tell me to do this, that, or the other thing? How can you chastise me for not doing something that you don't do? How can you tell me fornication is wrong, and then be involved in a scandal? How are you

teaching to draw nigh to God but the words you teach are drenched in contempt rather than love? How can you counsel a staff to do what is written and then be found in extortion? Its bothersome to say the least.

A pastor from a very large following was involved in a scandal that lasted for a couple of years. The congregation tried to stay loyal to the pastor but it was too much for them to accept and eventually, they began to leave. One of the nearby ministries in the area noticed that his congregation was getting larger then it has in years and believed that many of the congregants were coming from the church whose pastor was fighting the public scrutiny. The leader of the neighboring ministry told the new congregants to go back to the church where they came from. He said that they had no business leaving their pastor while he was going through this bit of trouble. I understood where the ministry leader was coming from, but what does the Word say about it? Was he being loyal to God or the troubled pastor? It was bothersome as well.

This post is entitled the Nutty Fluffer because the description "nutty" gives reference to the sanity of anyone taking the office to minister God's Word and then deciding to use his/her own words instead. It is written that not one tittle shall be added or subtracted from the Word of God (Deuteronomy 12:32 NIV, Proverbs 30:5-6 NIV, Revelation 22:18-19 AMP). When doing so anyway, in spite of what has been directed from God not to do, is insane. A lesson I heard in a sermon was: to do the same thing and to expect different results is the definition of insanity. I beg to differ when the Word tells us that it is the diligent that will reap the reward (Hebrews 11:6 AMP). Therefore, doing wrong and expecting to be rewarded for it is insane.

A fluffer would be the title of the one that uses the high powered mixer on the yogurt described above. This person takes a food product and whips air into it to make the product look as if it is more then what it actually is. In ministering the Word, which one of you does that? The product has already been prepared. Who is it that dilutes the Word or exaggerates what has already been written (Matthew 5:17-19 AMP)? Jesus is the Prince of Peace. The Father of all lies is the devil. He is also known as the prince of the air (Ephesians 2:2 AMP). Again, who is it that fluffs up what the Lord has already prepared? Do you really think you can do better then the Teacher (Luke 6:39-40 AMP)?

Comfort Food

I enjoy cooking for my family and for those who can appreciate the flavors as well as the labor of cooking from scratch. The style of cooking for me isn't specific to one type. I like fresh food where the flavors merry well and when one has finished the meal he/she isn't looking for more 10-20 minutes later. The meals I serve are satisfying.

Satisfying an appetite is so different then trying to comfort someone with food. I recall as a child coming home from school distressed because the bully antagonizing me in the 4th grade happened to be my teacher. Eventually I would tell my mother while we were out shopping. As I was telling her, she took me to an ice cream parlor (as they were once called). Was it intentional? I have no idea. Whether she had her childhood issues resolved that way or it was something she read, it seemed to have worked out for the best, though it wasn't the ice cream and I knew that. Nevertheless, when the term, "comfort food" was introduced, I had come into adulthood. Without defining the term, instinctively it seemed all that heard it, knew what it meant.

Over the years, "comfort foods" have developed into a style and is now a part of pop culture. Having its roots coming from the 40's and 50's, we understand that the food was mostly made from carbohydrates and fat. The food was created back in that fashion to fill a family to satisfaction. Today it is not something we consume daily due to the high fat content. Still, with relationship problems, distresses on the job, and daily issues with life, people tend to gravitate towards what will make them feel full, content, and satisfied like Momma use to make. There is a universal understanding that these foods are filling a psychological void; however, instead of getting the help that's needed, the calories still mound.

Now that the casserole, candy bar, cheeseburger, carton of ice cream, or whatever makes that sustaining feeling come about, is gone - did problems get resolved as well (John 4:13-14 AMP)? While shoveling those calories down, did some food fairy come along and make issues go away? As believers, I would like an explanation as to why food has been a comfort to you? Have you ever used the term? In using those words, would it be grievous to the Holy Spirit whom Jesus left to comfort us (Ephesians 4:29-30 AMP)?

We know that which the world does is not in the mannerisms by which we have been taught (James 4:4 AMP). We have been set aside as a peculiar nation (Deuteronomy 14:2 AMP). Embracing the peculiarities, we acknowledge that we also have a means to sustain us. We also have food by which we do get comforted. It does not cause us hurt, harm, or danger which the aforementioned could, if consumed in excessive amounts. The Word of God is life. We are made the light of the world and salt of the earth because of it (Matthew 5:12-14 AMP). We are content and satisfied because we know that in Him, all things are possible (Matthew 19:26 AMP). In Him it is already done. In Him we have the faith to keep us so not to complain or run to some means that will either be moth eaten, spoiled, or rusted through. We have a Comfort that is a constant (John 167-8 AMP).

Granted, with the babes in Christ, still on the milk of God's Word, they may have the tendency to reach back to that which is supposed to be dead. That is only because the babes in Christ have not learned anything new to replace that old (1 Corinthians 3:1-4 AMP). It is why the encouragement to keep going to church services and read the Word for yourself is paramount (Joshua 1:8 AMP). The children of God have learned more and will try his/her spiritual teeth on some of the meat but it still has to be repeated again and again in order for the child to sustain the new as good habits (Hebrews 5:11-14 AMP). Yet, the sons of God have skills and exercises their power in Christ. They have used the gifts that have been given and have no identity crisis at no time. The meat of the Word has been our sustenance for a long time and we have established ourselves as friends of God (James 2:21-24 AMP). Understand, these are levels of maturity in the faith. Macaroni and cheese doesn't come close to what we have in Christ (2 Corinthians 1:3-4 AMP).

Doing It Afraid

Doing what? Anything. Its just not an option in Christ.

You have to see this in its simplest form so not to have to do something in this matter. But first, I must preface why I am writing this post. This entry is for all of those that have heard the instruction to do it afraid, taught this lesson, or contemplated in this direction and are adhering to it. This entry is for all of us to have the same understanding. If you have Word that teaches different from this, I am more then willing to make a retraction and delete this entry.

First, God did not give us a spirit of fear, which is what being afraid is (2 Timothy 1:7 KJV). So if He did not give it and He is the greater one living on the inside of those that believe, how can fear have residence where it does not belong? If the Word tells us not to give the devil place and fear is having residence in your heart (mind or body), have you disregarded God's instruction?

Knowing that you would rather do anything else then be disobedient to God, we must dissect why this feeling of being afraid has come about. The Word tells us to seek first the Kingdom of God and His righteousness and all of these things will be added unto you (Matthew 6:33 KJV). We know that the Kingdom of God is not meat and drink but joy and peace in the Holy Spirit (Romans 14:17 KJV). Therefore, if we walk in the Spirit then we must live in the Spirit (Galatians 5:25 KJV). This means that God will lead us in the direction that we must go. Jesus, being the Prince of Peace and is the Word of God also is considered in all that we do. With this understanding, where would being afraid fit in? Peace is the opposite of fear. If there is a decision to be made and your peace is troubled with fear, then it wasn't of God. It was a suggestion created in your mind from the flesh (Romans 5:-3 KJV). If it also stirs up fear (being afraid), you must immediately rebuke it. Whether that means praying, praising, or thanking God for the Wisdom He gave you to make all decisions, it shows resistance (James 4:7 KJV). For the suggestion of fear, your reaction is resistance. Because of this reaction, you have conquered and defeated the enemy  - again (Romans 8:37 AMP)!

Here is another way to make things easier when the feeling of fear comes about. God created man and all things (John 1:10 KJV). He and only He is God. If He is directing you to do something, then He has given you the strength to do it (Philippians 4:13 KJV). If there is opposition that comes against the thing He has told you to do, you have a decision to make. Is He greater or the thing He created that is coming against you greater? If you walk in the fear that has come against you then you have chosen for that thing to be your god. If that is your god, then you have the answer as to why there is turmoil in your life. Jesus is the Prince of Peace. You cannot have peace any other way. It is why we acknowledge Him in all our ways, for Him to direct our path (Proverbs 3:6 KJV).

I received a testimonial from a man who was promoted from directing traffic in a church parking lot to a deacon. He's married, without children, and was caring for his elderly mother. In so doing, there was a change in staff in the ministry and he was needed to train new people in the position that he was in. The ministers of this rather large church were a little intimidating to say the least to anyone who has no understanding of the aforementioned principle. Because the ministry had grown through out the country, this man's expertise for training was needed much more then ever before. The ministers decided to have a meeting with him and request for this man to travel to these various churches to teach the necessary training for the ministry to be successful. The man knew how important it was for the ministry to thrive but the decision was not troubling to him. He had a wife going to school with a career. He had a mother that he needed to care for and now there is this added responsibility. The ministers made the proposal attractive with an added salary and bonus. But it wasn't something that was attractive to him. He said to the ministers what his responsibilities are. The ministers solution was for the man to pack his family up and have them travel right along with him. He asked the assistant pastor, "would you do that to your wife?" The assistant pastor was quiet. The man got up and left with the job and responsibilities God had originally given to him.

When the man told me this, I was thinking that he had taken the job and was going through all sorts of mess. I thought he had taken the job because of what the Word tells us to hold the ministry in high esteem. This man had the confidence and assurance of righteousness on his side. It was like David and Goliath. A huge promotion along with the money was looming over him. So many other people would see the money as a sign from God that it was the right thing to do to accept the job.  Some would see it as a test. In taking the test, the question asked is, which decision is going to keep me on the path of life? In life there is peace and joy. If you cannot see  the trouble and aren't sure there will be trouble, then prayer, praise, and thanksgiving has to be at work for the clarity to be in place (not fear) when the final decision is made. Others would have also taken the job because of the ministry (Ephesians 4:11-15 KJV). Their premise being, why would men of God lead anyone astray (John 10:12-14 KJV)? The answer to that is, men and women of God have their own tests, temptations, and trials to go through. They are messengers to deliver a message God has given to them. If they aren't obedient to God, they also have consequences as well and even more so because they are in ministry (James 3:1 AMP). You as an individual must see the vision God has given to you. No one else knows what God has given to you. Even if you describe it, the listener will not have the motivation, drive, or enthusiasm to complete the task that you have because they are not anointed to do the same task that has been given to you (Romans 12:4 AMP). Because of this understanding you can be confident in Him much like David (Isaiah 32:17 AMP). You have no need to fear.

Protect The Anointing

I suppose it is what the pastors do when they have about 6-12 deacons walk with him/her to the podium or to their perspective seats. I heard a pastor say that he assigns such an entourage to the guest speakers because the members or visitors will reach for them and distract them from their message. I figured it was so that when touched virtue wouldn't be perceived to have left him/her. You know, like what happened to Jesus with the woman who had the issue of blood (Luke 8:42-48 KJV). The only thing I find a little disturbing is to go through such drastic measures for the congregation to see this man (or woman) of God is really protected. Where is the faith?

There have been recent reports of pastors and ministers going through all sorts of turmoil. From scandalous affairs to acts not becoming of a Christian much less a pastor of a church. I recall when I first heard of anything scandalous, I cried as if it happened to someone in my family (1 Corinthians 12:20-26 KJV). It was actually a grieving process I went through. I didn't think about the anointing then, but now that it has been mentioned, where is the entourage when you really need it? Someone or something had reached out and disturbed the message in order for a scandal to break out. Someone or something disturbed the flow in order for an affair to have happened. Someone or something distracted the sermon from going forth. Is it only important to have the protection when in church services to preach a message? What about throughout a person's day? Who is protecting all of the other anointed people?

Is it clear that to make such a dramatic scene for a number of men to follow a speaker is specifically staged for entertainment? The men can no more protect the anointing on the speakers then they can in protecting the anointing on their own lives. Maybe baby Christians needed to see that before getting a complete understanding.  All of the disciples that was around Jesus to get Him through the throngs of people didn't keep the woman with the issue of blood from touching Him. For He asked, "Who touched Me?"

One of the pastors I heard preaching said in one of the many messages, "you must watch what you hear, see, and say." That simple statement is the weapon in protecting the anointing. If anyone ever wonders what happened to such and such pastor or ministry? It is because of what he/she heard, said, or thought of to do that caused the ministry to change or close.

I was invited to a woman's retreat so many years ago. It was so peaceful and anointed for the entire weekend. I was relaxed and in such a state of peace and joy, I didn't have any desire to leave and go back home to deal with all of the tasks I had to do. When I got home, I didn't watch television. I stayed to myself and prayed and read my bible. That joy and peace continued for awhile. But then the weekend was coming to an end and I had to think along the lines of getting my schedule together to manage the rest of my week. In so doing I got back in my regular routine and when finished I sat down and began watching my usual programs on T.V. It was then I became aware of that peacefulness I had coming back from the retreat wasn't the same. In fact, I was started to feel "normal" again. Not that "normal" was bad, it just wasn't ... well, like angels singing on high feeling. Could one feel like that all of the time or did I make it disappear because of what I was doing, thinking, watching, and saying?

The blood that was shed on the cross is all of the protection we need. When people were coming to stone Jesus for what He said, He was able to walk through the crowd of people without anyone seeing Him. How could that be? God gives those who He has called an anointing to do what he has called for us to do. He is the Almighty One... the Creator of all. We do have a responsibility to maintain what has been given to us - that is, if we are strong enough to stand (Galatians 5:1 KJV). It is the purpose for the helps and five fold ministries (1 Corinthians 12:27-31 KJV). It is the purpose for the studying of the Word (Joshua 1:8 AMP). It is why we have sought out the Kingdom of God (Matthew 6:33 KJV). Is why we keep from arguing (James 1:20 KJV). It is why we do what we do (Matthew 22:36-40 AMP). If it is too difficult for you to do - then the entourage is understandable (Romans 8:5-7 KJV).

Did God Say You Would Have Trouble?

Its just that when I hear a man or woman of God teach something that doesn't line up with the Word of God, I cringe. The cringe is a reminder of how long I believed lies that kept me from pursuing the true blessing. Truth delivers. Deceit deprives. What may sound good isn't, unless you can find it in the Word and know how to rightly divide it.

Let's take some lies that have been compounded (spoken again and again) in ministry where many heard and believed to be the truth (2 Peter 3:16-18 AMP). This list is small; however, it should get you started in studying and having your own reference materials to use when the lies try to contend with you:

The Lies
1. God didn't say that you wouldn't have trouble.
2. God may not come when you want Him but He is always right on time.
3. Marriage is hard and an eye opener.
4. The many things you can't do because you are a Christian.
5. Seeking God's perfect will in your life.
6. The list of foods a believer cannot eat.
7. Docile and introverted is the same as meek and humble.
8. The devil targets the righteous because he already has the sinner.
9. God never says no but always yes and amen.
10.It is good to use your imagination... what do you think God gave it to you for?

Alright, there you have it. There are some current ones in there that you probably just heard this week. I know there are some in there I just heard and had to correct my fellow sister in the Lord. She wasn't too happy about it in fact when a third party showed her the scripture that I was referring to and neither one of us could find, she changed her tune and acted as if it was what she was saying all along. There is no need to quarrel over it (James 1:20 AMP). If that mind is changed for the better, that is the goal. Not who said what first. Remember that, and also to pray before going over this or saying it to someone else. People are set in their ways for a reason and the allowance of that thought and feeding it, it isn't trying to be moved anytime soon. So get ready for the opposition - if you pray, it will be momentary.

Here is the truth:
1.  God didn't say that you wouldn't have trouble. God did say that if we seek first the Kingdom of God and His righteousness all these things will be added unto you (Matthew 6:33 KJV). We first then find out what the Kingdom of God is and go from there. The Kingdom of God is not meat and drink but joy and peace in the Holy Ghost (Romans 14:17 KJV). Peace is not trouble. Even if there is some trouble in our lives, don't we have the where withal to know the effect of righteousness ? Do we not have weapons for the battle? If trouble arises we have to question ourselves with what we thought, said, or did for this to come upon us. Joy comes in the morning - right?

2.  God may not come when you want Him but He is always right on time.That particular phrase frustrated me for years. I know of a woman who liked a certain type of house. She bought a starter home and was believing that God would give to her what she desired. She waited for years for God to move and give her what she asked for. It was getting to be 30 years at her wait and when asked why she never moved into her home, the tone in her voice would change and she would express anger at how she waited on God and He didn't do what she asked of Him. She wasn't ready to hear anything consoling from me, but I know that when we wait longer than we ever thought it necessary to do, it is because we practiced impatience in other areas of our lives. Patience is a necessary ingredient for the fruit of the Spirit. God is good. If He tells for fathers not to provoke your children to anger (Ephesians 6:4 KJV), do you think He would do this to His children? So then, why else would we wait an inordinate period of time? Had we done this to someone else? Why then do we expect for God to move so quickly when we have made people wait unnecessarily for us (Galatians 6:7 KJV)? It sounds like seed was sown but you don't like the harvest.The Word tells us that we have not because we ask not but when we ask we ask amiss. Judge yourselves. What have you missed in the sight of God? Now that with your asking, this time of waiting is really getting your attention - isn't it?

3. Marriage is hard and an eye opener. I have written about this before. If marriage is hard why would God have us do it? Jesus said to follow Me, My burden is easy and yoke is light. Did He add on, but unless you are married you are on your own? Of course not, so if marriage is hard, could it be because we did not do what God had planned for us? When Paul wrote that if you marry you would have trouble, was he just making it up as he went along? Man says marriage is hard. The word says to enjoy your own husband and husbands love your wives. Is the Word asking for us to do the impossible when man says one thing and Paul in as much agrees? No, none of which are in disagreement with the other. You would have trouble and it is hard if you marry for the purposes of having legal sex. If you did not practice walking in the Spirit (Galatians 5:16 KJV) in all that you do and love the Lord with all your heart, mind, and strength, then you will have to learn that with another person that you will be accountable for. Doesn't that sound hard to do? To keep peace in a house when you discover the person you married is a natural nagger, would be troublesome. How can you concentrate on the things God had destined for you when you did not seek these matters first (The Kingdom of God)?

4.  The many things you can't do because you are a Christian. There are many things you can do as a Christian. You can do all things through Christ which strengthens you (Philippians 4:13 KJV). If your heart is devising to do mischief and/or evil, then there are things you will have to put away until you are more mature to handle the matter. For instance, if you are a recovering alcoholic and still can easily be tempted, don't go into the bar under the guise of witnessing to people. Another example is, you can go into the casinos because they have a great breakfast bar there, but why tarnish your credibility with others who thought you were one way and considered being a Christian too until they saw you go into the casino. It can all be innocent, but would it be best for you to do that which is becoming of the Lord rather than yourself?

5.  Seeking God's perfect will in your life. To seek God's perfect will in your life would imply that there is a will that is imperfect. The imperfection is what you do because of outside influence (Ephesians 4:14 KJV). God has put in you what makes you happy. It gives you joy to do such and such. Others may scoff because they don't understand and even say out loud like, "you can't make any real money doing that." But God said that He will make room for you and place you before great men (Proverbs 18:16 KJV). His will is already destined and laid out for you. He is here and there. Whether or not you adhere to what He says. He said to choose life. Once you do, it will be perfect.

6. The list of foods a believer cannot eat. There are a list of foods that is mentioned in the Word (Leviticus 11 KJV). It clearly states that you cannot eat them in order to remain clean. In the New Testament Peter had a dream where he saw a blanket filled with different sorts of animals and the Lord told Peter that he could eat those foods (Acts 10:9-16 KJV). Right then Peter could have said, "I can, great! I was wondering what snake tastes like." But what Peter said was that he would not defile his body like that. He had a decision to make and made it. Now for anyone else who eats these foods, it is not a sin. For it is written, God would not tempt a man to evil (James 1:13 KJV). After all, lobster bisque sounds delicious and clam chowder is. Yet if we look at this matter scientifically, we can see why the list was made. There are certain animals that only consume dead things. Their job is the maintenance of the earth. They have special enzymes that our bodies don't have to break down decomposed matter. If we are to eat these animals in large quantities, much like having a lobster everyday or a crab cake for lunch 5 days a week, what would those enzymes do to our bodies? In not consuming those foods at all, would our health improve as well? God permits us to do as we choose to do. Is it the best in what we choose to do? Is it good for us? Yet we made a decision to do it or not? He said for us to choose life. When we do, then it is the decision for every aspect of it - life.

7.  Docile and introverted is the same as meek and humble. God did not give us a spirit of fear but of power, love and a sound mind (2 Timothy 1:7 KJV). The word fear, in this scripture is defined as timidity which is synonymous to being shy. To be docile is passive and allowing to let whatever happen whether you could do something about it or not. A woman said to me what is the purpose of praying for things to change when God said that these things would happen in the last days? I thought it was a stupid thing to say. It is as if your child falls ill to something. Does it mean you won't care for or pray for your child? Of course not. The last and evil days becomes more prominent when the spirit filled Christian doesn't do what he/she is called to do. The prophetic Word tells of the last days to motivate the children of God to stay strong. In that strength of and not to be moved, it is that humility and meekness that will have its reward.

8. The devil targets the righteous because he already has the sinner.  I have heard, the devil is vigilante after the righteous, for years. I am so tired of hearing all the wrong that a believer has to tolerate because of the devil. He didn't do it!!! The believer made a decision and apparently it was a bad one. Read the first chapter of Job and be delivered. The devil has to obtain permission in order to come after the righteous. Even he knew that there was a hedge of protection around Job. Stop talking about the devil. Who cares what he does. Just keep him out of your life by doing God's will and not your own (Ephesians 4:27 KJV).

9. God never says no but always yes and amen.  Actually, God will not give you the go ahead to do wrong. It is in His Word what you should and should not do. If you decide to do what you will without a plan and prayer to do it, you get what you get. The only time God will answer yes and amen is when you state your case before Him and remind Him of His Word when you do. He is not interested in hearing all of the noise of what you went through. He was there. He saw it all!  He isn't interested in your personal drama, your pity party, or all of the ways used to manipulate others (unless you are repenting and turning from those ways). It just doesn't work on Him. In order for you to get the response you are looking for, you have to know His Word. When you study it, you get to find out more about Him. When this happens, little did you know that your questions are answered and your supply was already met.

10. It is good to use your imagination... what do you think God gave it to you for?  This was the recent issue I had to contend with this week. I heard another minister use it in a message before and I was disappointed with the end of the sermon. I figured he just said those things to get our attention and then recall what the Word tells us about imagination, but he didn't. Instead he said that imagination is good and God wouldn't have given it to us if He didn't expect us to use it. Well, where is that written. I read that we should cast down imagination and every high thing that exalts itself against the knowledge of God. The minister said in the message, if we can see it then we can have it. It was the reason to use imagination, according to him. I thought that faith comes by hearing and hearing by the Word of God (Romans 10:17 KJV). I thought that faith is the substance of things hoped for the evidence of things not seen.

There you have it. Just because the speaker is dynamic doesn't mean he has the dunamis power that God has given to us. We have to make sure that what we hear is the Word of God so that we can stay delivered and help others out of their dilemma. Honestly saints, be alert (Ephesians 6:18 AMP).
